OUR END RESULTS

Another major advantage in reducing energy cost is the increased recycling potential. Although debatable, studies performed by sources including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have revealed that recycling certain products actually uses more energy than simply manufacturing the same products brand new. This has led to lower amount of products being recycled and larger amount of our garbage ending up in landfill all over the world.

Nearly all of the paper recycling stages shown above requires a lot of power. This requirement could be fulfilled by switching to clean renewable energy sources; reducing a large proportion of the total recycling cost. Source: Wikimedia Commons/Public Domain

Hence, the reduction of global energy cost levels has the potential to increase the recycling potential of various products by significant amounts; solving the issues such as landfill, pollution, or resource scarcity.
